MotoX in Thailand

Hey there!

Welcome to Motorcycle Capitalist where I document my adventures balancing my business on a bike  traveling the world on my motorcycle.

And We're Off!

And We're Off!

Today’s the day I embark on my trip from Toronto to San Diego! I had planned on leaving bright and early Monday morning but had a “break down” in driveway. The bike was packed and loaded and as I turned the key there was a buzzing and I couldn’t get it started. Classic sound of a dead battery. While inconvenient I’m happy I was still at home so being about 06:00h I went back to bed to sort this out later.

Fortunately as expected it was a relatively minor issue being a loose connection to the battery but I was quickly squared away and took off in the morning.

The only hard stop destination is San Diego itself but how I get there, what route I take will all be fluid. I plan to avoid interstate highways, that’s not the kind of traveling I’m looking for. Yes, you can reach your destination quicker but you don’t see anything along the way, you don’t meet the same characters you might bump into while meandering along back country and county roads through small towns with populations in maybe only the hundreds.

This is unpolished exploration

I have no deadlines or time constraints and plan to do a mix of hotels, rentals, and camping along the way. It will entirely depend on the mood of the day and the situation at the moment. I’ll keep you posted along the way. Time to roll out!
